Israel Comes of Age

Avner Yaniv is the author of Dilemmas of Security: Politics, Strategy and the Israeli Experience in Lebanon (New York and Oxford: Oxford University Press, 1987) and Deterrence Without the Bomb: The Politics of Israeli Strategy (Lexington, Mass.: D.C. Heath, 1987); his next book, Israel Among the Nations: The Foreign Policy of the Jewish State, will be published by Oxford University Press in 1989. Yaniv has recently returned to Israel after two years at the Department of Government, Georgetown University.
