Michael Nacht is dean of the School of Public Affairs of the University of Maryland, and has served as acting director of the Harvard Program on United States-Japan Relations. He is the author of The Age of Vulnerability: Threats to the Nuclear Stalemate (Washington, D.C.: The Brookings Institution, 1985) and the coauthor of Abroad and Beyond: Patterns in American Overseas Education (New York: Cambridge University Press, 1988).
