Kenneth W. Grundy is the author of The Militarization of South African Politics (Bloomington: Indiana University Press, 1986) and Soldiers without Politics (Berkeley: University of California Press, 1983), a study of blacks in the South African armed forces. He has taught at universities in Uganda, Zambia and Ireland.
