Chile’s Political Instability

Arturo Valenzuela is director of the Council on Latin American Studies at Duke University. He is the author of several books on Chile, including The Breakdown of Democratic Regimes: Chile (Baltimore: The Johns Hopkins University Press, 1978). He has spent 10 weeks in Chile in the last few months.
