The Soviet Union in the Third World

Robert H. Donaldson, provost of Herbert H. Lehman College, is the author of Soviet Policy Toward India: Ideology and Strategy (Cambridge: Harvard University Press, 1974), coauthor (with Joseph Nogee) of Soviet Foreign Policy since World War II (New York: Pergamon, 1981), and editor of The Soviet Union in the Third World: Successes and Failures (Boulder, Colo.: Westview, 1981). He has also contributed chapters to a number of edited volumes on Soviet foreign policy and has written articles for World Politics, Asian Survey, Journal of International Affairs, and Problems of Communism.
