The Strategic Significance of South Asia

Zalmay Khalilzad is a member of the Institute of War and Peace Studies at Columbia University. He is the mthor of a monograph, Return of the Great Game: Su1ierpower Rivalry and Internal Turmoil in Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, and Turkey. His articles on regional politics in Southwest Asia and international security issues have appeared in scholarly journals.
