Timothy M. Shaw, formerly a lecturer at the University of Zambia in Lusaka, is the author of Dependence and Underdevelopment: The Development and Foreign Policies of Zambia (Athens, Ohio: Ohio University Press, 1976) and The Political Economy of Zambia and the Future of Southern Africa (Lagos, Nigeria: Nigerian Institute of International Affairs, 1981), and coauthor, with Douglas G.
