The New Authoritarianism in Bolivia

Christopher Mitchell is director of the New York University Center for Latin American and Caribbean studies. He has conducted field research in Bolivia, Chile, Colombia and the Dominican Republic. He is the author of The Legacy of Populism in Bolivia (New York: Praeger, 1977) and articles on Andean politics and inter-American relations.
