John Helliwell has taught economics at the University of British Columbia since 1967, and has undertaken economic modeling of national energy economics and international linkages in Canada and several other countries. He wrote “Mineral Resources in the New International Order” for Current History, July/August, 1975, and has since published Aggregate Investment (New York: Penguin, 1976) and various articles on national and international economics, especially relating to energy.
