Steven I. Levine teaches East Asian politics and international relations at the School of International Service, the American University. The author of numerous articles and chapters on Sino-Soviet relations, Chinese foreign policy and United States-China relations, he is completing a book on the Chinese civil war of the 1940’s entitled World Politics and Revolutionary Power in Manchuria, 1945-1949.
