Thomas W. Walker is the author of The Christian Democratic Movement in Nicaragua (Tucson: University of Arizona Press, 1970), and a number of articles on the politics of Nicaragua in particular and Latin America in general. He has served as director of the Latin American Studies Program at Ohio University where he teaches several courses on Latin American politics. He spent five days in Nicaragua during the first week of the new government.
