John Bryan Starr served in 1979 as project director for the United Nations Association National Policy Panel to study U.S.-China relations. In addition he teaches Chinese politics at Yale University. He is executive director of the Yale-China Association and is the author of Ideology and Culture (Harper and Row, 1973), and Continuing the Revolution: The Political Thought of Mao (Princeton University Press, 1979).
