Sheldon W. Simon is chairman of the Department of Political Science at Arizona State University. He is the author of several books and numerous articles on Asian international politics with a particular interest in security affairs. Most recently he is editor and author of The Military and Security in the Third World: Domestic and International Impacts (Boulder: The West-view Press, 1978).
