Vernon L. Sorenson served as Principal Administrator in agricultural policy in the Directorate for Agriculture of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in Paris, in 1964–65. He was a consultant to the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (World Bank) in 1969 and 1972, to the Agency for International Development (AID) in 1972, and to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in 1973. A contributor to books on economic and agricultural management and marketing and policy, and to farm economics journals, Vernon Sorenson has also served on a presidential commission to study trade and investment policy.
Larry G. Hamm served as a graduate research assistant in agricultural economics at the University of Wisconsin before taking a post as graduate research assistant in agricultural economics at Michigan State University.
