France on the Ebb Tide

Edward Whiting Fox, in addition to his duties at Cornell, has spent two years at Princeton’s Institute for Advanced Studies and two years in France. Prior to that, he was an instructor at Harvard University. He is the author of the Oxford Atlas of European History (New York: Oxford University Press, 1957), Development of Western Civilization (Ithaca: Cornell University Press, 1950) and History in Geographic Perspective: The Other France (New York: Norton, 1971). He was in France following the 1965, 1973, and 1974 elections.
