Peter Regenstreif serves as coordinator of the Canadian Studies Program at the University of Rochester. Author of The Diefenbaker Interlude: Parties and Voting in Canada (Toronto, 1965), he is a syndicated political columnist in Canada and has served asspecial editorial consultant for the Toronto Star since 1968.
