Britain and the United States

Peter Lyon is Secretary of and Senior Lecturer at the Institute of Commonwealth Studies in the University of London, and an active member of the Royal Institute of International Affairs and of the International Institute for Strategic Studies. He also engages in much freelance writing, lecturing and broadcasting. He is the author of several books and numerous publications on international politics, including a forthcoming book, War and Peace in World Politics (to be published in New ork by John Wiley and Sons). A frequent visitor to, the United States, he has taught at the University of California at Los Angeles, Cornell and the University of Pennsylvania; he has also lectured at many other American universities, Staff Colleges and research institutes.
