Yassin El-Ayouty is a specialist on Arab affairs. He is co-editor, with U. C. Brooks, of Refugees South of the Sahara: An African Dilemma (Contributions in Afro-American and African Studies Number 4) (Westport, Conn.: Negro Universities Press, 1970). In the academic year 1972–1973 he was a visiting professor of African and Middle Eastern Studies at the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
