Laura Summers is a Lecturer in Political Development and Southeast Asian Politics at the University of Lancaster, Lancaster, England. She did field research in Southeast Asia in 1965 and 1971 in the course of her undergraduate and graduate studies at Hamline University and Cornell University respectively. Her Ph.D. dissertation, to be submitted to Cornell, is entitled, “The Sihanouk Regime: The Politics of Developmental Breakdown”.
