In addition to her post at Long Island University, Helen Ginsbnrg is a Research Associate at the Center for Studies of Income Maintenance Policy, Graduate School of Social Work, New York University. Author of Poverty, Economics and Society (Boston: Little, Brown, 1972), Helen Ginsburg specializes in labor, poverty and urban economics. In the early 1960’s, she was Research Associate for the New School —Twentieth Century Fund study of poverty amid affluence, one of the first major studies of American poverty in the post-World War II era.
