Donald H. Haider taught at City College of New York and at New University before joining the Columbai University faculty in 1969. He served as special assistant to Massachusetts Senator Edward M. kennedy (1968–1969) and as a staff associate on academic and minority affairs at Columbia University’s Urban Center (1969–1970)
