Levitan is Research Professor of Economics and Director of the Center for Manpower Policy Studies at The George Washington University, where he is engaged, under a Ford Foundation grant, in the evaluation of manpower and social welfare programs. He has recently edited Blue-Collar Workers: A Symposium on Middle America and coauthored Big Brother’s Indian Program–With Reservations.
