William M. Beaney was William Nelson Cromwell Professor of Law at Princeton University for many years before joining the faculty of the College of Law, University of Denver, in 1969. He is the author of The Right to Counsel in American Courts (Ann Arbor: University of Michigan Press, 1955); coauthor (with A. T. Mason) of American Constitutional Law, 4th edition (Englewood Cliffs, N.J.: Prentice Hall, 1964), and The Supreme Court in a Free Society (Englewood Cliffs, N.J.: Prentice Hall, 1959), and has written numerous law review articles.
