Solomon B. Levine has engaged in studies of Japanese economic and labor problems for the past 20 years. A frequent visitor to Japan as researcher, visiting professor and consultant, he is the author of a number of books and articles on Japanese labor and industrial relations. He is currently serving as chairman of the East Asian Studies Committee at the University of Wisconsin.
