W. Scott Morton, a member o f the Columbia University Faculty Seminar on Oriental Thought and Religion, has lectured at the University of Pittsburgh, at Chatham College and at New York University since he came to this country in 1957. Previously, he was a lecturer in Edinburgh University and in Glasgow University and a broadcaster with the British Broadcasting Corporation. He has lived and traveled in Japan and is the author of Japan—Its History and Culture (New York: T. Y. Crowell, 1970). Professor Morton is now working on a book, The Japanese—How They Live and Work, to be published in England by David and Charles, Ltd.
