Frank A. Butrico was chief of the Public Health Service’s Office of Resources Development, concerned with various aspects of environmental health. In I960 and 1961, he served as executive secretary of the first national conference on water pollution. He is the author of more than 40 papers on the health aspects of nuclear energy, on water pollution control research and on manpower needs in sanitation and environmental health.
