Arthur J. Dommen is the author of Conflict in Laos: The Politics of Neutralization (New York: Praeger, 1964) and has been reporting on Indochina for the last ten years. As correspondent of the Los Angeles Times, he covered the opening and first year of the Paris negotiations, where he had a close working relationship with all three of the Vietnamese delegations. He is now in Saigon as that newspaper’s bureau chief.
