Return to Civilian Rule in Ghana
In addition to his duties as dean of the undergraduate division, Claude E. Welch, Jr., is also an assistant professor of political science at the State University of New York at Buffalo. He is author of Dream of Unity: Pan-Africanism and Political Unification in West Africa (Ithaca: Cornell University Press, 1966), editor of Political Modernization: A Reader in Comparative Political Change (Belmont, Calif.: Wadsworth, 1967), a contributor to Patterns of African Development, edited by H. J. Spiro (Englewood Cliffs, N. J.: Prentice-Hall, 1967), and coauthor and editor of the forthcoming Soldier and State in Africa, to be published by Northwestern University Press early in 1970.
