Selective Service as a Political Issue

James A. Huston has taught at the U.S. Naval War College and the National War College and is a consultant to the Air Force School of Systems and Logistics. His books include Across the Face of France (Lafayette: Purdue University Studies, 1963); The Sinews of War: Army Logistics, 1775–1953 (Washington, D.C.: Office of the Chief of Military History, 1966). His article on Selective Service in World War II appeared in Current History, June, 1968.
