Selective Service in World War II

James A. Huston has taught at the U. S. Naval War College and the National War College and is a consultant to the Air Force School of Systems and Logistics. His recent books include Across the Face of France (Lafayette: Purdue University Studies, 1963); The Sinews of War: Army Logistics, 1775–1953 (Washington: Office of the Chief of Military History, 1966). He is currently writing a book on NATO strategy and logistics.
