Wilfred Malenbaum was formerly director of the India Project at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and chief of the Division of Investment and Development, United States Department of State. He has visited India many times, and is the author of several books, including Prospects for Indian Development (New York: Macmillan, 1962).
