China in Asia

C. P. FitzGcrald lived in China from 1923 to 1929, and later from 1946 to 1050; he visited again in 1956 and 1958. He is the author of The Chinese View of Their Place in the World (New York: Oxford University Press, 1954), Birth of Communist China (New York: Praeger, 1964), and A Concise History of East Asia (New York: Praeger, 1966), among other works.
