Pierre Lazareff, one of the best known European journalists, was editor-in-chief of Paris Midi and Paris Soir as well as an illustrated magazine, a women’s magazine and a movie magazine. He also directed a radio station, until the fall of France.
On June 12, M. Lazareff edited the last edition of his paper which appeared in Paris before the German occupation, and then fled for his life to Portugal the day the Armistice was signed. He finally got a boat for the United States and has been writing for newspapers and magazines since his arrival in this country.
