Gilbert Geis
Professor of Sociology, California State College at Los Angeles
Gilbert Geis joined the faculty of California State College at Los Angeles in 1957. During the 1965–1966 academic year, he was a fellow in law and sociology at Harvard Law School. More recently, he worked as a consultant for the President’s Commission on Law Enforcement and Administration of Justice. Mr. Geis is coauthor of Man, Crime and Society (New York: Random House, Î962) and Longest Way Home (Detroit: Wayne State University Press, 1964).
