Balkan Kaleidoscope

Alvin Z. Rubinstein, book review editor of Current History, is a frequent contributor on Soviet and Soviet bloc affairs. During the 1961–1962 academic years, he studied Soviet policies in underdeveloped countries under a Rockefeller Foundation grant. In 1966, he traveled in East Europe. He is the editor of Foreign Policy of the Soviet Union (rev. ed.; New York: Random House, 1966) and, most recently, has written Communist Political Systems (Englewood Cliffs, N.J.: Prentice-Hall, 1966).
