Philip B. Taylor, Jr. is presently on teaching leave in Bogotá, Colombia. Prior to joining the Johns Hopkins’ faculty, he taught at the University of Michigan as well as Tulane and Northwestern universities. He is a frequent contributor to scholastic journals and in 1962 his book, The Government and Politics of Uruguay, was published by Tulane University. His forthcoming book, Democracy and Authority in Venezuela, will be published by the Johns Hopkins Press in 1967.
