The U.S.S.R. and the West

David T. Cattell has been Acting Director of the Russian and East European Studies Center at U.C.L.A. since 1959. He has traveled widely in East and West Europe and in the Soviet Union where, in 1962, he was an exchange professor at the University of Leningrad. Mr. Cattell is author of several books on Soviet affairs and coauthor of Control of Foreign Relations in Modern Nations (New York: Norton, 1957).
