Darrell Randall has been interested in African studies since 1946, at which time he was appointed special representative for the Methodist Board of Missions in the Congo and Southern Africa. In 1957, he began serving in an executive capacity in the international department of the National Council of Churches and joined The American University faculty in 1961. A frequent traveller to Africa, he is now the Africa Program Director for a study tour conducted by the Association of Colleges for International-Inter cultural Studies.
