Germany in the Underdeveloped World

Wolfe W. Schmokel, a native of Germany, received his higher education at the University of Maryland and at Yale University. He is the author of Dream of Empire: German Colonialism 1919–1945 (New Haven: Yale Press, 1964), which is a study of the colonial ambitions of Nazi Germany. He has previously contributed to Current History and has also published a number of articles and reviews on African history.
