Edward Whiting Fox, in addition to his duties at Cornell, has spent two years at Princeton’s Institute for Advanced Study and two years in France. Prior to that, he was an instructor at Harvard University and in 1945–1946 served as an analyst, at the State Department. He is the author of the Oxford Atlas of European History (New York: Oxford University Press, 1957), and Development of Western Civilization (Ithaca: Cornell University Press, 1950). Mr. Fox spent time in France during the fall of 1965 studying the elections.
