Lionel Cliffe
Research Fellow, East African Institute of Social Research Makerere College, Kampala
Lionel Cliffe is working at Makerere College with James S. Coleman, who is directing a new political science research program. Mr. Cliffe was formerly on the staff of Kivukoni College in Dar es Salaam. Previously, he was Information and Research Assistant for the Oxford Committee for Famine Relief and an Oxford (England) City Councilor. In 1965, he completed three months of field work on the general elections in Tanzania.
