Halford L. Hoskins has traveled and lived in the Middle East and has studied manuscript records in the Citadel archives in Cairo. Mr. Hoskins was the organizer of the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy in Medford, Massachusetts, and served as its dean for 11 years before setting up the School for Advanced International Studies and the Middle East Institute in Washington, D.C. He also initiated the Middle East Journal. His writings include The Middle East (New York: Macmillan, 1954).
