Thomas W. Wolfe served a number of years in the regular army, during which time he spent two years (1956-1958) as Air Attaché in Moscow. Mr. Wolfe has written widely on Soviet and international affairs. Among a variety of other works, he is author of Soviet Strategy at the Crossroads (Cambridge, Mass.: Harvard University Press, 1964) and coauthor of Détente: Cold War Strategy in Transition (New York: Praeger, 1965), as well as of Peace and War in the Modern Age (New York: Doubleday, 1965).
