William G. Caples joined the Inland Steel Company in 1946 after service with the Army Air Forces Engineers. Since 1953, he has been in charge of industrial and public relations and has held executive position in all aspects of industrial relations, public relations and medical services for the Inland Steel Company. Mr. Caples has lectured at the universities of Wisconsin, Chicago, Northwestern, Cornell, Princeton, and Kenyon College. He is a member of the Advisory Committee on Civilian Personnel Management of the Department of the Army, a member of the National Advisory Committee on Manpower Development and Training and a member of the President’s Committee on Equal Employment Opportunity.
