Arthur J. Dommen served as Bureau Chief in Saigon for United Press International in 1959–1961 and in Hong Kong in 1961–1963. Awarded a Carnegie Press Fellowship from the Council on Foreign Relations, he returned to the United States where, during 1964, he lectured at the Foreign Service Institute and published Conflict in Laos: The Politics of Neutralization (New York: Praeger, 1964). He is now back in the Far East.
