Hans A. Schmitt
Professor of History, Tulane University
Hans A. Schmitt has been on the faculty of Tulane University since 1959. He is the author of The Path of European Union: From the Marshall Plan to the Common Market (Baton Rouge: Louisiana State University Press, 1962), and of the forthcoming Charles Péguy: The Decline of an Idealist. Mr. Schmitt is currently at work on a study of the problems of national integration in Germany between 1870 and 1914.
