William R . Kintner saw 21 years of military duty before joining the academic world where, in addition to his work at the Foreign Policy Research Institute, he is Professor of International Relations and Political Science at the Wharton School. A veteran of service in various government agencies, among them the C.I.A., the Defense Department and the Office of the President, Mr. Kintner is also a consultant to the Stanford Research Institute. Recent books which William Kintner has coauthored include: A Forward Strategy for America (New York: Harper, 1961); A New Frontier of War (Chicago: Regnery, 1962); and Building the Atlantic World (New York: Harper & Row, 1963).
