The Role of the United Nations

Marion H. McVitty has been a full-time observer at the United Nations since 1951. From 1959–1961, she was Chairman ofthe United States National Organizations on the United Nations Conference Group and was a member of the Commission to Study the Organization of Peace from 1960–1963. Mrs. McVitty has served as a reporter for the Economist Intelligence Unit(London) and is now editor of the Independent Observer (New York).
