Frederick L. Schuman is a Contributing Editor of Current History and well-known to its readers. On leave from his duties at Williams College, he taught last summer at Stanford University and last autumn at the University of Hawaii. Mr. Schuman is author of International Politics (New York: McGraw-Hill, 6th ed., 1958), The Cold War: Retrospect and Prospect (Baton Rouge: Louisiana State University Press, 1962), Commonwealth of Man (New York: Alfred Knopf, 1952), Russia Since 1917 (New York: Alfred Knopf,1957) and other books on world affairs.
