Ross N. Berkes, a contributing editor, is well-known to the readers of Current History. On sabbatical leave in 1955–1956, he studied British foreign policy at the Royal Institute of International Affairs in London. He is coauthor of Diplomacy in India (Stanford: Stanford University Press, 1958).
